Belated upload of our #birthdayhike over #stanageedge in the #peakdistrict this summer, with three birthdays in 2 days, it was the perfect way for a hiking family to spend the weekend.

Once again our #MiniExplorer impressed us all with her resilience, almost fell ran done of it and loved the fact we entered a cave bearing her name, she didn't want to leave and wanted to return the day after 🤣.

From our hike to James of the Glen's former home now known as #glendurorbothy it was a trek and half to get there as the route "the map" said to take had over grown and we didn't know about an unmapped but easy alternative.

Instead we ended up going the equivalent of the Amazon to get to it 🤦🏾‍♂️😂

But we did meet an awesome bloke and his daughter from #mountainbothyassociation who filled us in on the history of place.

it's so calming that even our youngest, the most boisterous of the 3 fell asleep every time we went out on the water 😂🤣
